Hello,

My day is going great. My meeting last night turned out to be pretty exciting. There were 4 of us that attended. We talked about our business goals and how to accomplish them. We also discussed and came up with the idea to turn the meeting into an actual focus group which was a pretty exciting concept for everyone. So next week, we will bring some exciting new energy to the group, include some group activities and interaction as well as a book club we'll work on our personal development skills and and learn to get focus. The first book we are going to read is by Ned Grossman "How to succeed in Life."

I am very excited about this new Focus group! Oh yeah, I forgot I have some homework that's due by 6pm today. I have to figure out acronyms for the word FOCUS! If you have any ideas let me know. That's not cheating is it? :) Thanks.

It's almost Turkey Day.

I just settled into my mobile office at CCC. It barely has the presence of 3 full bodies in the facility. Everyone has slowly packed up said their Season's Greetings and moved along for the holiday. But not me, I still have a team meeting taking place in 20 minutes, not sure if anyone will show but at least I'm prepared. I know a lot of people who would feel sad if clients or team don't show up to a meeting. I want to tell you today that as long as you were there and prepared you should feel just as good as if you had a full house. That's what makes you determined and strong. In the business of selling anything deals with rejection. You have got to know how to conquer that feeling of rejection. So dry your eyes and keep it moving and know that you have what it takes to educate your audience. Sooner or later there are going to be more people coming through those doors than you can accommodate and that's a good thing! :)

Rewards for your Passion

My business has been very rewarding for me because I am now in charge of my income and time. I am an independent consultant in the field of e-marketing. I consult and help clients with building or enhancing their websites. I also help my clients to manage their customers by providing ways to keep in touch via newsletters, greeting cards, virtual assistance, flyers and more. It took me some time to figure out what I wanted to do as a business but after really taking some time to think about it, I realized that I have a love for art and providing people with information online. As I began to explore the possibilities this was the result.

Lesson for today: It doesn't have to be an over-the-top idea. Just focus on what you love to do and start doing it. You will be surprised at the results you'll receive.

Doing what you love

You can turn any passion that you have into a thriving and lucrative business. I worked for Corporate America most of my life until I was fed up with the way I was treated and the lack of interest I had in my area of employment. I would literally drive to work thinking of passing it by and traveling anywhere to deter myself from going to work. After being laid off, I thought... "this must be an answer from God" So I decided to do what I liked to do and that's how I became an Entrepreneur as well as a Consultant.

Have you been laid off from your place of employment and don't know where to start? Well think again! I decided to blog about my journey to help someone who may be experiencing the same situation. Because sure to tune in and hear more of my story as I educate you on just what you need to do to Make your passion your business.

Talk to you soon!
